About Us
Iowa Family Services provides respite services across the state of Iowa to best meet the needs of each child and family.
What is respite?
Our respite program provides a temporary break for the parents or caregivers while providing the consumer with a safe and fun environment. We offer individual respite consisting of one-on-one care. We also offer group respite which is one employee providing respite for up to three consumers.
Respite is flexible. Respite can take place in the consumer’s home, provider’s home or in the community. Respite can consist of playing games, swimming or attending community activities.
Iowa Family Services was founded in 2009 to provide services to children on the Children’s Mental Health Waiver. We have expanded to include children and adults on the Intellectual Disability Waiver.
Our Mission
Empower children and families to promote healthy growth and development by providing high-quality services to our consumers resulting in lifelong successes and strengthening of families and communities.
